Rooben
Open-source governance for AI agents in production.
A control plane between your agents and your budget. Rooben caps spend per run, standardizes how work is dispatched, and keeps an auditable record of what each agent did.
- Open source
- SOC 2 ready
- Self-hosted or managed

- Regulated & high-security environments
- Architecture & developer experience
The problem
Teams adopt agents faster than they build controls for them. Cost has no ceiling, and every team invents its own workflow. When something goes wrong, there is no record of which agent did what on whose authority. In a regulated environment, that stops the rollout entirely.
The approach
Rooben treats governance as a deployment target, not a policy document. It enforces budget ceilings and workflow standards at dispatch time. The audit trail is a by-product of execution, so nobody has to reconstruct it afterwards.
How Rooben fits together
Agent request
Budget check
Enforced at dispatch, so a runaway loop hits a ceiling
Standard workflow
One definition shared across teams
Execution
Audit trail
Produced by the run itself
What Rooben does
Budget enforcement at dispatch
A runaway loop hits a ceiling instead of an invoice, because the control sits at dispatch time.
Standardized workflows
One workflow definition shared across teams, instead of every team inventing its own.
An audit trail by default
Each run produces its own audit trail, so nothing has to be reconstructed after something goes wrong.
SOC 2-mapped controls
Compliance controls mapped to SOC 2, alongside a self-hosted community edition and a managed enterprise tier.
Watch a Rooben run
Agents work in parallel while Rooben verifies every output and tracks every dollar.
A simulated run on a loop. Its steps, scores and cost are illustrative.
